We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the 14th edition of the European Forum on Music (EFM), which will take place in Timișoara, Romania, from 9 to 12 June 2026. This major event, centred around the theme Music, Health & Wellbeing, will bring together thought leaders, cultural practitioners, and health professionals to explore the profound connections between music and wellbeing across society.

EFM 2026 Programme Highlights: 9 June: EMC Annual Meeting (for EMC members only), followed by the EFM Opening Evening 10-11 June: MainEFM sessions and EMC Lab 12 June: Classical Music Summit, open to all EFM attendees The Forum will explore the role of music in promoting physical and mental health, fostering resilience, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of individuals and communities. Through keynotes, workshops, and collaborative music-making sessions, we will delve into music’s capacity to support therapeutic and preventative healthcare practices, enhance cognitive and emotional functioning, and combat social isolation.

The EFM 2026 is organised by the European Music Council in partnership with the Asociația Scena Muzicală (RO) and The Center for Projects of the Municipality of Timișoara. It will take place at the Cinema Studio Timișoara.
