Estonian Wind Music Society

Estonian Wind Music Society (EWMS) is the regional association of wind and brass bands in Estonia. At the moment we have 105 members.

EWMS is governed by a 6-member board, which is elected for 3 years.

Sub-groups to the Estonian Wind Music Society are the group of repertoire, history and youth orchestras and church music.

The Estonian Wind Music Society helps to organize competitions of Estonian wind music The orchestras are judged by an international jury.
During the year, about 30 wind music festivals or trainings take place in Estonia.


In cooperation with the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, an annual training of conductors takes place – the Baltic Wind Music School.


Other festivals with traditions include Võru Brass Days, Pühajärve Wind Instruments Days, Hiiumaa Wind Instruments Days, Tartu International Wind Festival “Mürtsub Pill” and others.
