The concert features Italian cathedral music (vocal and instrumental works by Frescobaldi, Monteverdi, and Gabrieli) that resonates perfectly within the vaulted space of Haapsalu Cathedral.
Performing music in a cathedral creates a unique harmony and musical cohesion that can only be experienced through a live performance.
Hortus Musicus shares a decades-long history with Haapsalu Cathedral. On this occasion, they are joined by mezzo-soprano Aule Urb, under the artistic direction of Andres Mustonen.
